There is a dying lost art from many traditional cultures that effectively used steam inhalation, vaginal steams, and herbal bath soaks as an effective way to absorb therapeutic herbal remedies. Lets bring back that lost knowledge, and incorporate aromatherapy to absorb medicinal herbs through the largest organ of your body -your skin- and the lungs, which have the largest surface area of your body for absorbing delicate herbal vapors. Our herbal oils are administered onto the skin to be absorbed into the body to attain systemic (throughout the body) distribution. Our oils are not essential oils (steam distilled), but instead are medicinal herbs that have fat soluble medicinal constituents, meaning the healing and therapeutic components are easily extracted into oils. The skin is the largest organ of the body and much can be absorbed topically, particularly fat soluble extracts. To illustrate, think of topical medications (nitroglycerin, hormone replacement, patches), magnesium, facial serums, creams, gels, lotions, or ointments. Our medicinal herbs have been hand picked, and extracted deeply into high quality, nourishing oils. Use them as medicine - massage them into yourself or loved ones as treatment that includes therapeutic touch and love to heal and nourish. Essential oils are often too harsh to use on delicate or sensitive skin; medicinal herbs extracted into oils for massage are gentler on the skin and safe for sensitive or delicate skin. Topical application also means herbs that may be too bitter tasting to drink can still be therapeutically absorbed transdermally, daily in our body scrubs.

Medicinal topical tea - Topical tea, or herbal bath soaks, with nervines and adaptogens for deeply healing the body and mind, as well as mild hormone balancing. Healing medicinal herbs easily absorb topically for areas of need with systemic distribution throughout the body.  1 cup of herb makes 1 quart of body tea, the strained herbs are perfect for poultices. Poultices are herbs mashed and applied topically directly onto the skin, optionally with heat (hot water bottle or heating pad). The herbs can be left in place hours or overnight after being wrapped in a bandage (fresh herbs) or cling wrap (wet herbs after infusing or steaming briefly), great for stronger application to areas of need.
